Everything was done in about 30 minutes and now the final upgrade of this MacBook Pro mid-2010 is done. Once the data doubler arrived, installed it by following the video guide from OWC. So I ordered the OWC Data Doubler with toolkit from SimplyMac Singapore as their delivery service is quite fast, and bought the second unit of Patriot 960GB SSD SATA. Since I rarely use the DVD drive, decided to replace it with second SSD SATA. Since the SSD SATA storage prices has gone down on 2019, and the battery has finally gone bad and screamed for replacement, so decided to finally get the replacement battery from OWC – NuPower battery. Change the hard disk few times as I prefer using fresh hard disk on every new MacOS major version. upgraded the memory from 8GB to 16GB using the OWC memory module specially produced for this model. Open Carbon Copy Cloner and do a second clone, this time from the external drive to the new SSD. Use Disk Utilities to initialise the new SSD. You are now running your Mac off the external drive. Bought this great laptop in July 2010, and has been my main works machine ever since. Restart the Mac holding down the Option key.
